Ya empezamos a ver los frutos de la iniciativa Pick your DIY en la que he tenido la oportunidad de participar junto a otras seis bloggers de diferentes partes del mundo: Chic Steals (Oregon, US), A Matter of Style (Milán, Italia), Chic Cheat (Inglaterra, UK), Inspiration&Realisation (Massachusetts, US), Cut Out and Keep (Edimburgo, UK) y La Vie en Rose (Michigan, US).
De entre las fotos más votadas en Pinterest, yo elegí los zapatos "Dolores" de Charlotte Olympia, con una aplicación de labios en la puntera. Pero ya me conocéis, no suelo ser muy partidaria de los DIYs que intentan parecer algo que no son. Creo que el DIY debe servir para personalizar y para materializar una inspiración. De modo que, a partir de la referencia de Olympia, creé dos broches en piel que son totalmente extraíbles. Esto nos permite cambiar el diseño siempre que queramos.
La técnica es muy simple: se trata de recortar y pegar, como hacíamos en el cole, pero sobre piel. Además podéis seguir este proceso para hacer infinitos diseños que se adapten a vuestro estilo. Por otro lado, también podéis aplicar este mismo DIY a cualquier tipo de accesorio. Os dejo con el vídeo ;)
Yo he utilizado piel, aunque si no podéis encontrar este material en vuestra ciudad, el fieltro también puede servir. Curiosamente, no hay mucha diferencia de precio entre utilizar un material u otro, pero la diferencia de calidad en el resultado sí que es notable.
Como os digo siempre, espero que os inspire para hacer vuestros propios DIYs, o que por lo menos os haya entretenido un ratito ;)
